add-on lens ma
ie the add-on tele and wide lens which i spent $ already for the S1
but now want to use S3 body

i know there are many so called step up / down rings on the market
and they are very cheap

so my question is :
S3 body + adapter ring (58mm)
and then

add 58 to 52 mm step down ring
and then attach the 52mm add-on tele or wide lens
originally bought for S1

IS THIS OK ???
SOME OF MY FRIENDS SAID YES
BUT THEY HAVE NOT TRIED TOO

我意思是無用番個 s1既轉接環

我話是用S3 body + S3 既轉接環(58mm)
and then make use of a 58 to 52 mm step down ring 加上去
咁個接口咪變成52 mm lo

Then theoretically can attach the 52mm lenses of S1, right ???
In theory, this should work and this is i think what step down rings are
meant for

可以~~

add on lens 其實無咩特別, 只要口經岩就可以
但係要留意 step down 用既時候可能 wide 盡時有黑角,
不過就算有, 到時zoom 番少少就無問題~

1st of all, after using the step-down adapter, can the lens of S3 still go through it with zoom out?

When using Wide add-on len with step-down adapter, the image must has a "black hole" (not only 黑角) on the very wide side.

Because the ring adapter with step-down adapter is longer & narrower.

i have not tried yet since i have not yet bought the s3
but as u said
"narrower" and NOT WIDER, so would this be a problem
"longer" would this present a problem ????

i have thought about yr query b4 but i really don't know for SURE
maybe guys with S2?S3 can advise ????????

but if step up/down rings cannot be used for the intended purpose,
why are so many such toys on sale in the market ?????
