I'm using E30D 17-85 kit set.

I realized that when I use 17mm focal length, the image at the 4 corners become dark. Is that normal at this focal length? Thanks for your advice.

I haven't that issue when using 17-85 IS, are you used CPL & UV filters at same time??

You're guess is right. I was using Polarizer with UV filter at the same time. I tried to remove the polarizer and there are still some dark corners, but not at dark as before. I think it's also related to the wide angle lens itself.

That lens has IS, try to take photo at F5.6 or F8 to improve the quailty of photo if not hand-shake

I've just received Canon's reply and they advised that it's normal at 17mm focal length, just as you've said.

Even though it's the case, I'm still a little uncomfortable with that, hehe

I think if you want to use UV / CPL, you may consider a "slim verison" filter in order to minimize the dim corner.
