請問各位師兄對nikon 80-200mm 2.8g此款舊鏡有什麼評價，我最近在台灣網站睇到其相片覺得質素上相當不錯加上在香港售價為六千多元，比起70-200mm 2.8g VR 的價錢差不多平一半，覺得十分超值，可惜係冇VR ，唔知道各位師兄點睇呢?

Nikon 80-200mm 2.8g ???

There is no such lens!

Nikon has 2 large aperture tele-photo zoom still in production now. They are:
1. AF Zoom Nikkor 80-200mm f:2.8D IF-ED (nick name: Little Black 3)
2. AF-S VR Zoom Nikkor 70-200mm f:2.8G IF-ED (nick name: Little Black 5)

Resolution / Sharpness:
Generally speaking, people would give LB5 score 98/100 while LB3 score 95/100. LB3 just lose very litte at tele-end. At wide-end, they perform the same.

Build Quality:
Both are as good as each other. But LB5 has AF-S and VR which are more delicated and more prone to damage than LB3. Personnally, I'd like the surface texture of LB3 more. :p

AF Speed and accuracy:
With AF-S, LB5 AF faster than LB3. They both show almost accurate AF performance. It have been heard that some samples have focus shift. But the number of cases are rare and there is no particular say which one suffer more than the other.

Flare:
With much more lens elements, LB5 lose a lot than LB3 in terms of flare control. As a top-of-the-line Nikkor, LB5 is shamefull!

Distortion control:
Not significantly different between each other. You can ignore it.

Colour reproduction / Contrast:
LB3 shows higher contract while LB5 retain more shadow details.

Features:
LB5: VR, no aperture ring (cannot be used on old camera body), wide-end start from 70mm, slimmer, lens hood included, AF-S allows full-time MF, partly removable tripod collar, can be supported by Nikon's tele-converter.
LB3: has aperature ring, more economy, can be supported by 3rd party tele-converter only.
