Unless budget is not your concern al
Or you are not using your own money(eg. tax payer money)

Manfrotto Ball Head

486RC2 is good,
The bigger size of that ball, the more stable of you camera.

Tripod :
Try to get a light weight one if affordable,
the lightest weight it has, the more chance you take it out while shooting.

I have ordered today Gitzo G1158T and G1178M which will be available by mid-September. I hope G1178M will just be as good as Manfrotto's.

I ordered these Gitzo gears from Foto Photo suppiies Co. which is situated in Hung Hom Square.

One of my clients introduced this shop to me 1 year ago. There is nothing special about this shop. They priced their goods reasonably, not exceptionally cheap, but the staffs are kind and helpful.

Shriro representive told me that Tin Cheung's price may be the lowest inside the market as far as Gitzo products are concerned.

You can compare both shops before making decision.

oh rite i forgot Shriro is gitzo distributor, they are my company client. do you know that if they have staff price?? because i only have contacts with their industry crane department might be i could ask them to buy =p
