1.In earlier discussions, people conclude that it s better to take fotos in
2M(superfine) than 3M(fine) in MZ3.
2. In general, I think 3M pics of MZ3 should be coarser than 'genuine' 3M pics of a comparable CCD (both in terms of quality and size. ). This is an important qualification. Please note that the CCD of MZ3 is 1/1.8" so it is actaully bigger than some 3M cameras 1/2.7" CCD.

Forgive me for giving some further personal thots. (It seems that I have been speaking for this camera without reasons last few days)They may not be correct as I hv touched only a few DCs. My main experience were in Nikon FE, F3 manual focus SLR some 10 15 years ago.
1. the camera is important but your own interest to play with it is more important. So a good DC would be nice so that it can provide you as much manual control as possible,ceteris paribus.
2. The CCD is more important than the lens in DC. Zeiss may be a superior lens name. It doesnt matter that mcuh if a DC is suing a Canon, Nikkor or Pentax lens. Hugh pixels cameras using tiny CCD wouldn't do any good.
