I am currently taking a photo lesson. And my teacher says my equipments will not be enough in the future because I am going to assist other photographer to shoot wedding photo as my part time job.

Can anybody tell me what should I get?

I am having 350D + kit lens + 直度 + 430EX. Thinking 小小白, 小小白IS, 小白IS, 10mm-22mm, 17mm-85mm, 24mm-105mm…and filter… so many choices. Help me!

Why your teacher think your equirpment not enough ? You should ask your teacher instead of us..

Last time at my friends wedding, the paid photop just used N 18-135 kit, and anthor use C 18-55 kit, I used N 18-70 kit.

得罪講句,我覺得師兄你現有一部 DSLR + KIT 已經可以應付大部分的拍攝用途, 再者攝影的老師只會評論你張作品, 好少會評論你的器材. 要求你UPGRADE 技術, 不會要求你UPGRADE 器材的.

May be you are not look "pro" enough, if get paid, you should consider the feeling of your client.

Buy remote flash cord, L flash rack, lightsphere, or double flash / L lens can look more pro.

I am taking a photographer lesson with a group of 15 people in Vancouver. The teacher is a Canadian. He never forces us to buy anything and just teach us how to become professional.

Because I told my teacher what I am going to do after finished the lesson. (shoot wedding photo) That’s why he said I better do more like professional photo and image to get people paid for my job. He suggests me to get one or two more lenses for different saturations.

I want to get some more idea from different people?

有好器材係好，但先要有好技術應付各個場面才行，真是的用KIT鏡都能拍到最好的東西出來，否則DSLR相機公司點出SAMPLE相呢？

以上的師兄都講得很好！就算KIT SET長短打都打到各個場合。

if you want to buy one lens only, then go for 17-85. If two, buy 10-22 too.

The best range for taking wedding photos is 24-120mm (film range)

but, will you take photos inside the church? if so, you may also need a lens with larger aperture, say, 18-50 f2.8, 20 f2.0, 50 f1.8 .......

I u want to wedding photos, better add another 400D or 350D with EF 10-20, to take group photos, because u just don't have time to change lens.

If u use ISO400, to take group photos, no need to use flash for 10-20

The kit lens can also be changed to 18-125 or 18-200 (lens quality is not important), the most important thing is that u can use the 200mm lens to photo "the couples signing the marriage certificate" at a distance, of course another flash is a must

A 580EX (or 550EX) should be better.

I will take photos inside the church. Churchs’s size are usually big with high ceiling and glass roof. So the church inside will be bright with sun light and normal lighting device.

I don’t think I will get another 350D instead of the 10-22mm and 70-200mm lens first. May be upgrade to full fame body later on. Do I need any filter and lens hood for the 10-22mm?

Do you mean other brand like Sigma…. ?

I will have a chance to take wedding photos in the coming July at Whistler. Kit lens and 10-22mm will be fine?
