Hi, I use D200 with vertical grip and alkaline batteries. But I found that the battery power gets weak very soon. Sometimes it shows full power when I turn on the camera, when I do focusing and fully press the shutter, the battery indicator blinks indicating no power. Is there anyone experience this? Should I use rechargable batteries instead?

you should tell the camera by setting in the menu that you used alkaine battery, otherwise you may come across this problem....

D200 manual already suggest NOT to use alkaline unless backup use.

Even I use rechargable NI-MH is still unstable, sometime the mirror can't flip back and display show "error"

Now 3E battery is just $250, use 3E battery la...

To Rol: thanks for advice. I'll buy the second 3E battery. Btw, is it true that the "power" of alkaline battery is not high enough for D200 to work?

Alkaline會好快冇電, 用AA叉電好好多

suggest not to use Alkaline, use rechargable NI-MH such as GP 2700, much much better.

I checked the manual of vertical grip and it really mentioned that AA batteries were better used for backup only. So if I know it before, I will reconsider whether I buy the vertical grip.

vertical grip is very good for portrature, and AA rechargeable is also great!!
