本書入面都有一張用用 85mm f1.8 影相 一比較之下 我發覺兩者質素差好遠

f 1.4個支 好sharp 好清 係本書特登造成咁 幫canon 賣廣告嗎?

Both lens have been tested.

I have 50 1.8 and 85 1.8, the different between 50 1.4 and 85 1.8 are the perspective because the perspective provided by 85 1.8 is better than 50 1.4 and their price are similar.

Given the price for 50 1.8 is now only $600 at Shing shing after the price cut from Canon, I will suggest you buy it first, as some C hing mentioned above, the price to performance ration is the highest len among All Canon lens and some web site said it is also a crime not to have one.

If you compare the MTF chart from Canon's official site, even 1.8 is good compare with 1.4. Use the appropriate apeture for 1.8 and it can produce an excellent image for you. Try f2.8 and smaller it is excellent. actually somebody find even from 2.2 is already very good.

For 1.4 when you use 1.4 full apeture it is too soft that you would use it.
