hi i m new here ..
i m considering to buy a A40 or mz3 as my first camera..
the powerful video function of mz3 attracts me a lot
but i have a question is .. how long will i be able to record movie with a 128mb compact flash ? ..
if i m recording at 640x480 and 15fps..
will it record until all the 128 mb of memory has been used up ?

I prefer A40 because Canon is the famous camera factory but Sanyo not, if you buy the other electric applicant, i suggest you buy sanyo, so i suggest you buy Canon A40!^^

mz3用128mb CF 大約可拍2.5min at 640x480 15fps
MZ3在夠光的環境下拍照，畫質不會輸給A40

as i know A40 is cheaper and have stronger functions at taking photo ..
however mz3 has a smartter appearance and its movie function sounds realy cool ! that i m considering buying a MD for recording long video if the price of micro drive drops.
does this sounds stupid ?

2.5mins means use up all the 128 mb memory ?
if not can anyone explain why cant it record anymore ?(swap space ?)

聽說是CF咭速度不夠快(因為拍640X480X30格時的容量太大了)

i sugges u buy A40
coz Canon, as a big camera producer, more technical enquiry they can give u
also a40 can add wide and tele
around 2.0 mega pixel, I think no one cam's quality is better than A40

yes ar . .i believe A40 is the best one in 2mgp at taking photos .

..ai .. but mz3 s movie function .... and mz3 is smaller and have metal shell.. looks better ..but it doesn use a connon lens...
but .. ai.. very difficult to decide ar ..

I have also consider this two camera before (both low in price and also very reasonable price). Both of them have manual function, movie with sound which I think is good for a beginner to learn more and take some family movie. What I consider is it size. As the size of MZ3 is small, I can take it when I go to work or just go outside to take a walk. But it is not for A40.

Of course, if you consider photo quality, A40 is the one you are looking for. More, it can use 2A battery and have ISO 50.

I buy MZ3 eventually..

用640X480X15格拍動晝,應該可以拍無限時間(視乎你張咭的容量),就以我用128MB咭為例,可以錄到3分鐘有多!

此外,論拍照質素及功能,我都相信A40是二百萬像中最好的,試想A40已經出了差不多一年,同期的CD,例如2500,230...等曾一度熱門的CD都早已過時,但A40到今日還可以有這樣的地位,肯定這部機是一部好機.

但論外型,功能及動畫,當然是MZ3好過A40.

i can only say this is your first dc. i would suggest you should
take the most functional one instead of the good quality.
afterward, you may know your next dc 2nd 3rd is your favour.

p.s you can pay at lower cost for good quality dc in 1 year 2 year later.
