I can't focus successfully (green spot light is blinking), if I choose the focus setting at "SPOT" at little dim situation (not very dim, focus around the corner of room and the room's light has turned on already).

I can solve it if I change the setting to "iESP". Why? What is difference? However, if the light is enough, both "SPOT" and "iESP" is perfect.

Any brothers have the same experience? I worry whether it is only my camera's problem and whether I need to return it within 7 days testing period.

focus 唔到有好多原因, 可能係環境太暗, 可能係object 太小, 可能係object 太近(尤其zoom出去的時候)..............建議多在不同環境再作測試吧 (尤其在戶外)~~~

Thank you for your response.

All setting is the same except focusing setting (SPOT and IESP). But I fail on SPOT but succeed on IESP. I tried to point to many objects, usually IESP can focus immediately but for SPOT, some objects I need to re-focus 2-4 times to succeed and some objects I can never succeed.
In my concept, SPOT and IESP is similar. If it is in difficult situation such as the environment too dim, both SPOT and IESP should not work properly. Why now IESP can work but SPOT can't?

One more question, can I record movies with sound? I can't hear the sound by 1) using TV cable and 2) using computer (quick time file).

用spot 對焦唔得有好多可能, 例如主體同背景太近, 可能會分辨唔到, 主體太暗又會 , 可以用支電筒照住黎對焦試試, 如果得, 咁就證實係呢個問題啦.....

用IESP唔係唔得, 但你要試試, 在複雜光源的背景下 (如夜景人像, 背後有好多燈光, 而個人本身冇發光) , 咁o既情形下, 會有機會當左個背景係焦點, 對左後面, 變左個景好清, 個人就唔得............

我自己就鍾意用單點對焦, 最多唔掂就用電筒幫手, 好過對錯唔知 ..............

You have to switch the mic on, press menu in Movie mode, select up button and turn on the mic and there you go.

照計Focus 模式係唔會影響 光暗個喎.......
有一個example 係 : 用spot 測光模式, 而個主體著白色衫, 你唔對佢塊面測光, 而係對佢件衫, 咁咁o既情況下塊面就會黑左啦........

Yim000, 在日光下, 其本上用任可模式對焦都一定對到架, 如果你日光下好易對到, 即係部機冇故障啦 ~~ 日光下只有一個情況難對焦, 舉例 : 個model 好貼牆企, 而大家色調又差不多...........但對多兩次都應該會得........

我所講的暗,係佢塊面暗...而又唔係背光....

全對, 按半下對焦然後構圖, 除非你有好似S602 咁o既64區多點對焦, (其實都係單點對焦, 只不過係你可以將中間個十字cursor 移黎移去, 去選64區其中一個點去對焦), 咁就唔駛半按快門構圖啦.............

其實以上講o既對焦模式係最保障的, 因為如果係預設值的智能自動對焦, 佢係會測晒成個畫面去搵焦點.........如果咁o岩, 你要影夜景人像, 個人黑, 背景係燈飾, 咁你部機好大機會當左個背景係焦點, 影出黎人朦景清..........

用spot 或用cursor 自選對焦點就唔會有咁o既問題, 因為你force 佢對個人丫嘛, 最多話你知對焦失敗, 咁o個時就係出電筒o既時候啦...........

另外, 塊面暗, 係曝光問題, 如果背景較光(日光下, 或白色背景), 而你係用緊預設智能分區測光, 咁佢會以畫面佔大多數的光源為標準去測, 影出黎個景咪好正常但人面暗左囉......

呢d 情況, 應轉用重點測光 (spot).......對住塊面去測光...

我會設定為, 單點對焦, 重點測光, +0.3 EV (or +0.6EV) , 做曝光包圍...........影出黎梗有一 張得, 咁以後就用呢張做參考............

Actually you can move your cursor to one of the nine points with C730,
select spot mode in af, then scroll down for af area, select your desired point with the cursor button.
