Just wanna hv some suggestions on u guys here. I'll be going to Tokyo next month for 6 days, wht camerma should I bring?? A small DC(Ricoh GRD) or Nikon D80?? If i brought my D80...will it be very heavy for shopping?? thanks all brother~

I used to carry my dslr during weekend and dont think it is too heavy to carry dslr during touring unless you carry a lot of lens together, I believe one lens with body is still relax. You may spend a weekend to try and see whether it is heavy for you.

I had brought twice Nikon F90X to Japan long time ago-quite exhausting. But after I bought my Olympus C5050, it has always been the only piece going out of Hong Kong with me. My Pentax K10D is strictly for use locally. I would think that if your main goal to Japan is for pleasure, then a snapshot piece will suffice.

If you like taking pictures, go for your D80.

I assume you like taking pictures because you own D80, so, bring your D80.

Lens is something that you have to concern.

18-200 is good if you don't care about the Picture Quality....

It really depends on what your trip is for. If you mainly stay in big cities for shopping there's no point to bring your DSLR w/heavy lenses, like the brother above said it would be exhausting. But if your main purpose is sight seeing, it's worth the fuss.
