dearest C hing pls advise

I am buying the canon 40D but should i get the kit lens? put aside the zoom part which one produce sharper picture? I was thinking about the 17-55 but 7000hkd?! too expensive la.....

I can afford only one lens for now...... :-(

Try this web site and see on your own, the problem is what do you want, long zoom normally don't provide good image quality, if you like IS then 17-85 will be suitable for general purpose. I think it is better than 18-200,
or you may consider the Tarmon 18-250, it also appear in the following site but it does not have sigma 18-200 os just 18-200 without os.
