Dear DC fever C Hings,

My friend and I use Nikon D50 and D80 and SB800 flash.
Without using flash, we know how to pre set the correct white balance by using a white card or whatever similar.

However, while we were attending a wedding dinner in a typical Chinese restaurant last week, we have BIG trouble in setting the correct white balance when using the D50/80 with the SB800 flash on. We tried to preset the white balance many times, but without success. We prefer not to take RAW and change white balance later. We want to get it right when we take the photo.

Could the C Hing's comment and help us on this?

did you white set with the flash on? or did you set without the flash?

did the pictures out to be blue?

if you use sb800 indoor I suggest you can use AUTO WB or Flash WB.

use white set if you want to shoot ambient without flash
