OR

(2) Tamron AF 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di II (A18)

知唔知配邊支比較好?

i am using the sigma with 40D and the best thing of cause it has OS. i think the picture is more than acceptable and please for the money, 18-200 zoom and Os and expect image like canon 17-55 is? oh pls la not possible. the build is very good too. for best image sharpness etc look elsewhere, but for travel or enviornment not convenient to change lens what more could u ask for.......

I have just bought Tamron 18-250. I think the quality is okay at its price. I use it on 40D. You can go to page 140 of the 400D thread. I have posted some pics there.

OS on Sigma is quite useful. But it is heavier at 6xx g compared with Tamron at 4xx g. So I prefer Tamron.

Some people complained about focusing problem with some Sigma lens. I am not sure if this would happen to your proposed sigma lens and your 400D.

focusing problem thats what i heard also i check with sigma the older lens really have compatibility problem, newer one shouldnt have problem. btw tamron 18-250 even though it doesnt have os but i heard the pictures are very good for a zoom lens.......

I still haven't made up my mind yet in which one to buy. I heard Tamron's lense have good pictures too, but I don't know if without OS would be quite a problem, especially for night or long zoom pictures. My worry is, if pictures comes out blurry because of hand shake, it doesn't really matter how good quality the lense is already at that point.

有個小小心得係關於呢兩支鏡~
因我自己用緊sigma, 而友人就用tamron~
先不論變形~
tamron 係無防手震而低光環境下拍人像有點困難!
因為佢同sigma果支一樣都係光圈細~ 如果有OS...快門可以調慢一點都唔洗腳架~而且形人像不易用腳架~所以OS會非常有用~

而我朋友買tamron係用黎影演唱會既~ 光線問題應該不會太大...因為演唱會通常都會將主角打晒燈~而且距離好遠...較遠的焦距會有利一點~

不過論變形~大家係18既時候...tamron既變形情況就好明顯

I heard that this Sigma lense 色淡 and 成像鬆散, is that true?

I am not asking for a perfect quality lense and with good long zoom range, but I am just wondering how bad the problem is if it is true.

Generally speaking, if Sigma's quality is a bit lower than Tamron, I would still accept it in light of its benefit of the OS function.

i think sigma and tamron's image quality are quite close. that is the general impression i got from reading magazine and website comments.

I have used sigma 18-200mm for 3 months. The quality is quite good but a bit heavy. OS is very effective and I think Tamron without OS need use high ISO and as a result lower the quality. That's why I choose Sigma 18-200mm without hesitation.

i am using sigma 17-70 as my primary lense but use the 18-200 OS for some shooting trip which is not possible to sit down and change lense , like when you are with your small kids running around...........

compare to the two sig the 17 is quite a bit sharper, i am trying to set the custom setting to see if the 18 can improve on the contrast and sharpness, at least get closer to the 17. it will take sometime to get the best setting but the OS really help out when zooming out to 200, which without OS you really need to push the shutter speed.......but u can only push the iso so far right?

I have read your report. The Sigma 18-200mm OS produced so-so quality only. Its advantage is only light weight only. The quality is like a DC.

網站的圖片是給印刷用的, 已經由RGB改為CMYK再轉回RBG放上去, 色彩質素已經大打折扣, 遲些網站會把原圖改回去
