I've some 5mp and 4mp photo and want to take them to 曬相舖 for 4R photo output. Do I need to re-size the files at home? Or the 曬相舖 will re-size them for me?

And for "re-size", is that mean something will be chopped?

I'm new to DC, please help to answer.

for 4R, the photo ratio is 3:2.
only thing you have to do is cut your photos into this ratio if yours are 4:3.曬相舖will not resize, but cut your photos or white edge appears (if you request not to cut the photo).
hence, if you want the 'whole picture', pls make sure the ratio is correct. no matter it is 5mp or 4mp.

It is the same to resize or cut the photos into 3:2 ratio.

If you try to resize into a ratio which is different from what you have in the file, either:

1. Cut out some portion that you don't want.
2. Reshape the picture. However, it is even worse than that you cut out
what you unwant. Think about the some wide screen DVD put into
4:3 TV, some TV may just keep the 16:9, you will see the black
edges on top and bottom. The picture is still ok.
However, in some TV, it can reshape it to 4:3. So, you may see the
full screen, but the outlook of every object will be changed. All looks
taller.

So, unless you only want everything taken must print out without concerning whether they look good, you may still need to choose cutting out some portion of the image. Or, in some shops, they can help you to print out everything in 4:3 ratio with some white edges in left and right.
