When shooting protrait under bright sunshine and backlight using external flash for light compensation, is it better to + ev in flash and - ev in camera or any way to shoot a better? Thanks for comment.

Contrast too high (bright VS dark) ?

==> Illuminate the dark area by whatever method.
eg light reflector, would never brighter than the sunlight. Do not reflect from below.
eg. fill in flash should not be the main light source so -1 EV for center weight metering -EV depend on metering system and what effect you want.

The best way is to AVOID shooting under strong direct sunlight.
Arrange the portrait near a white wall or under shade etc if possible.

1. recover over exposed area
2. fill light on under exposed area

Sorry, I've just heard about it but don't know in detail.
As kingkonghk c hing point out, it is 'd-lighting' in Nikon term.

d300唔知, d80有d lighting有3級, 機身處理後會自動save多1個jpeg檔案落card度, 可以無限次處理同1張相

it depends on what you want to express.

photos 2 and 3 are both good to me.

one way is to choose one closest to the actual situation.
