It looks like 330GS is a stepped down 330 but with a newer, better looking camera body.
330GS is more idiot alike, fully automatic and supports no manual mode, but 330 suports All P, A, S, M modes.

330 lens is better than 330GS even 330GS is a new DC ! But I don't think you can easily see the difference on photo quality for these 2 DC ! But 330 have manual functions while 330GS is almost a automatic DC ! But the response time, focus time, shot to shot time for 330 is really slow ! I try 330GS and it is quite fast ! If you ask me, I suggest 330GS since it can use AA batteries ! In DCC they sell "Water" 330GS for $2180 ! Attractive price for a 3 megapixels DC !
