The above rumor was given a CR3 rating, meaning it's a beliveable one from a source with average credibility.

Also, there are rumors of S6IS (successor of S5IS) and SX200 (successor of SX100), and also a new type of sensor, called GMOS, which is developed from CMOS.....all rumors to be verified.

wow that seems pretty amazing....an alternate solution to solve the lack of dynamic range of DC....

I hate Canon DC but this feature...if as good as canon said then really have to consider seriously...

I guess "Hightlight Tone Priority" is the similar technology in 450D, and also in Fuji F100fd, meaning the exposure would be adjusted such that the most bright area would be properly exposed, while the dark area would be somehow locally brightened up, all in an effort not to lose the details.

I guess it would give the exposure value a larger dynamic range, rendering the bright area with a lower ISO value, while the dark area a higher ISO value.....sounds too good to be true.

If it is fitted with a f2.8 or better lens, then it will be almost unbeatable in the DC market! Only DSLR can challenge it. Really lookinf forward to its launch.

The CCD (or CMOS or even GMOS??) size should be no smaller than 1/1.7 in, which is the size of the G9 sensor.

What worries people is with the still relative small size, even with the marginal increase in size, how the noise control will be like with an additional 2 MP to 14 MP. Actually, 12 MP is more than plenty.

Really hope they focus the development of the sensor circuit, with a view to bring down the noise at high ISO setting.

老實講句,S5IS現時來說真是同級長焦機中最弱雞的一部。期望下一代變焦倍數有所增加，及不要再用1/2.5咁細的CCD了。

有好幾間廠都係同SONY買CCD, 包括CANON...

咁技術同要幾大我諗都唔係CANON可以做決定

可以做GE應該就係SOFTWARE果方面可以減少少NOISE

同埋希望CANON個廠快D完工~咁就用返自己CCD更上一層樓
