按完快門，不懂再處理或懶去處理的，(起碼自己認為)是藝術。

按完快門，回家再作後期處理的，(起碼不少網友認為)是不懂攝影。

如果以創作工作上的我而言，接觸攝影。
攝影填補在我工作上我一些未係好完善的地方。

有時，在於不是攪創作的我自己，一個普通人，
攝影豐富了生活上我一些經歷。相片好比文字，
相片是作為人同人溝通的一個媒體；一個橋樑。

藝 術 or 技 術 or 科 學 所謂攝影把自己風格固化，
依附在一些名詞義意何在 ?
攝影有時好藝術，有時好技術，有時好科學。
只是我的相巧合地同社會大同的詞彙有關係。
攝影唔需要辦到好有藝術，好有技術，好有科學。

影唔見流星，無天文望遠鏡唔等於個種攝影唔科學。
人會老，記憶也會漸變得模糊，找回舊的相看一看，
舊事立時變得清醒。或者攝影是填補了我總是善忘這個壞習慣。

攝影就是一個人對世界的理解與註釋。

攝影師通過觀景器將眼前的世界切割，把認為最有價值的部份留低。

欣賞者亦通過這切割下來的影像，去感受攝影者按下快門那一刻對眼前世界的感覺。

從這個層面而言，攝影的信念與態度比攝影的技術及器材重要得多.....

maybe I am too stupid to think of photo taking in a philosophical aspect lol

I only treat it as one of my very few hobbies...
I don't like hanging around with any ppl, have to appoint the meeting time (and some will late, some will never show up), have to find something that suit everyone's need (which at last suit no body's need)...
all those karaoke, cinema, window shopping which most HK ppl did never suit me

photo taking is just a great thing to do alone
its not all about the result, but the process is also part of it...
the moment walking to the destination, going to some place otherwise won't think of, plus the time spent also rewarded with the photos taken... unlike cinema/karaoke, time is spent but after that you got nothing but a waste of time

more than that, photo is not only capture what my eyes can see, but what we can't see...

IR photo, long time exposure, high-speed photograph....
it is simply another world for me
When I am planning to take IR photo, I see this boring world in IR in my imagination.... the living plants become white and those dead will lost their brightness, human will be not visible and the world is in a silent blue

when I am taking long time exposure pic, time has stop around me...the ships, the cars' movement will only become a light drawing in darkness...

and the fisheye, wide angle, tele end, or my current GRD2 's fixed 28mm

the world I am staying of which I would rather suicide than staying suddenly become vivid and so real....everything is new again and its just feel like a new born baby again...


art? technique? science? record?
they are all so relevant to photo taking yet at the same time they are so far away...

art is too much to say so just skip it

technique...its something that maybe the learner will concern more
but after one can imagine how's the photo will be before they push the shutter, its not much to think about (to me...that's why my skill suck lol)

science
what's what the producer need to concern, not me :P
I don't need to know how they eliminate noise or push up the MP size

I just choose the camera that give what I want, that's my science (-.-)v

I didn't read in detail
but I hate to think of my photo as an record

to record something, you need to be as objective as possible, and that machine do far better than human

I will record something if I do documentary, or I am taking picture of buildings that our government stupid not to preserve

but when I take a picture of the falling leaves, I never think of recording how's the autumn in 1997, tai lam country park looks like, I feel right and I love that mood so I take that picture.

of course, most of the photos I taken will trigger my memory of the time being, but...memory is just not the same thing as record
