Unbelivable,
nice if they have, can be our new toy, I hope this really is true.
HOWEVER,
if Nikon is to have such a system, it will break all traditions, call it Revolutionary if you really believe,
personally, I think, not quite possible, as it takes Nikon "Forever" to finally have a D3 (The real Revolution, but not anymore since D700 is here too).
if Nikon is to really have a Med-Format system, I believe it will take them at least 3 years, to come up with a camera that,
1) is functional, Machanically, and Electronically, (Nikon has no experience, yet in Med-Format)
2) is mass-produced, (limited by users of small numbers)
3) is good enough and cheap enough to make Die-Hard fans of Hasselblad, and Leica, feel that this Nikon is worth trying
I believe that they rather use their resources to hold ground in the "War of FF", instead of trying something new and un-proven, (not 6x6, not 6x4.5), just wired. BUT I STILL HOPE IT IS TRUE

Rumours say that the CCD was supplied by Kodak, same as the S2 of Leica.
