cleaning my room and got a few sandisk lifetime warranty product

I notice that sandisk did written that the packaging is needed for warranty...

just want to ask can I just keep the receipt?
anyway successfully get Sandisk's warranty service with receipt only, without the package?

coz I put the receipt in photo album for better organize and the see if i can get rid of the packaging.
