question:

is it ok to use spray caned paint for plastic model to color the light tube?

the only thing I worried is the heat from the light tube may have some sort of chemical reaction with the paint and ,ay release toxic gas.....will that be the case?

coz I want to put a light on my bookshelf and I can't find any good and reasonably priced light in price-rite, ikea, MK shanghai street......

pps: of course I don't paint on the lighttube itself, but it's case and the transparent shield come with it...

spraying canned paint on those painted objects may cause the original paint to chip off,

on the other hand, your paint may block the transparent shield from passing out light.
