What a coincidence, same requirement as mine. I also want to buy one urgent today/omorrow but not decided yet. BUT i heard about that there are some defects on A70 (eg. dead point, easily loosed flasher..etc.) in particular those manufactured earlier, but I think they are improved now, right?

I really wish a new dc user is comfortable and will not regret to buy A70. Thanks for any comment.

請問A70用家成日話佢LCD用果陣有noise,請問係咩原因?係個別機身事件定成批貨有問題家,或係佢本身設計上既問題?而哩個問題會唔會影響d相/短片出黎既質素?
又有用家話佢d相出黎會蒙,y?像素問題?機身問題?定人既問題?
又有用家話佢d相質素唔好(even ISO 100),咁佢差到去咩既地步?
同埋佢ISO最高都係去到400,咁咪暗少少既地方都影唔到?佢AF有效範圍係幾多?
佢拍movie時無得zoom架?

問題好多,因為在下係學生哥,唔想晒錢買部唔好用既機,請各位指教.

yes, when you halfly press the shutter, there is some "blank" in the LCD, but seems not affecting the quality of the photos. Quality of photos, depends on many factors, of course including the quality of the DC itself and individual's techniques. You can't expect a 22xx DC can produce same quality photos from a 4xxxx DC. Suggest to use slower shutter, e.g. 1/15 or 1/30 + flash when taking photos under insufficient lights rather than setting ISO to 400. This is one of the adv. of A70 - manual setting.

i bought my a70 about one month ago at dcfever. It costs HK$2290 with free 32Mb card and camera bag (promotion gift from canon). I also bought the Ni-MH battery and charger, an additional 128 Mb card and 1 pack of LCD screen protector. Altogether around $2850.

In my opinion a70 is a nice choice if you want to learn some basics in photography (i am used to be an occasional "idiot" camera user......) you should check the lcd, lens and optical viewer carefully. I needed to inspect two b4 i decided to take the current one. (One of it got agrey sopt in the middle of the lcd!!) And try to use the camera within 7 days of purchase as you can exchange a new one if you find any defect.

lastly, i agreed with other authors above that good picture depends on a lot of things including the camera, the weather and the user.

Hi, ...why you have to test 4 cameras...is there any problem or defects with all of these A70 and what's the problem? Grey/dead point? I really doubt the quality of A70 as I heard many defects in A70, was it really true? Though it was commonly recommended and it's within reasonable price, but if there's too many defects or at least the chance of get one bad (only one OK out of four), then I'll not consider buying it.

Can anyone have more comments on A70 and what's the chance of buying a good one and how to test it? Thanks all.

事實上我買部DC係用黎玩,學/操攝影既話我一家玩單反機,仲要係MF機
我以前有一套C記EOS 5,之後因為某d原因賣左,之後就再無錢玩番攝影
所以我問咁多問題,因為錢要用得值,而且哩d野買番黎唔0岩賣番出去會高度匾值.所以我要買得準.

btw,佢無b制,咁咪影唔到夜景?同埋佢好似無重覆曝光?

我部A70是在豐X買的
我都知係貴左，
但可憐我住新界又唔會出九龍，
只是揀了樓下的電器舖來買。
2480送64MB咭(本來是送兩張32MB+$123換128MB咭)
俾錢時佢話傳左推廣計劃，真唔抵
本來係聽佢咁抵先買
但諗住揀咁耐先揀到一部無乜暇疵的無耐性再揀過
就買了...

唯一的問題個LCD
在zoom in zoom out時會有一橫一橫出現
之間見人提過不是大問題
這兩天好像無乜事了

四粒Panasonic 鹼性電芯(八蚊雞)用了三日了！真慳電

15秒曝光已足夠應付一般夜景,至於重覆曝光亦可以用黑卡代替。 @_@
