第一次買prosumer機, 睇左好耐, 最後好想買cp5400, 但係等極都無人放review...搞到心大心細..唔知簡cp5400 or G5 好...簡cp5400又有0的concerns..
1) 無大光圈 <-- trade off for 28mm wide angle... 值唔值得呢?
2) 無AF assist light, 又話黑時focus唔到 <-- 光線唔夠點算好??.. 你地會多數點做? 真係用手電筒對焦?
3) 內閃光燈唔夠光? <-- 天色黑係咪一定要用external flash?
4) 無wireless remote <-- 其實有用過G3/G5既朋友..到低個remote常唔常用?
5) 睇過好多review..發現5400好似無G5 & V1 0的image咁sharp... 同過5400既朋友覺得又係咪呢?

睇埋dpreview既評估..好似有0的爆冷, 景然係
Sony V1 "Highly recommand"..
cp5400 & G5 "recommand" only...
同埋又話cp5400 0的save相時間好慢, 要成6.8秒一張fine & high resolution, last屎兩秒又要銷機....咁樣點算好???

i am a happy user of cp5000.

though G5 is really better in terms of picture quality.

我揀G5....除左function多有remote, o係steve's digicam review d samples拍得住cp5700 (除左macro). 5400除左個樣我多like, 開倒車用返細ccd實在太令人失望了.

dpreview 個forum 有人話佢部5400個firmware 係ver 1.3,
而dpreview 份野係用1.1.用緊ver 1.3 既5400既人話save 完全唔夠得慢.....

我諗ver 1.1寫得唔好, buffering implement 得唔好,
所以dpreview測出save 相慢.....

i haven't got a 5400, but 6.8 sec for a fine JPEG saving seems unbelieveably long, i will definitely consider it as a fault, and will return it to the shop immediately.

my subjective guess to my CP5000's saving of a 5M fine JPEG is around 2 ~ 3 sec. at max with my new 30x compact flash card, which is not a problem to me. i won't tolerate taking 7 sec to save one 5M picture.

想買 5400, 亦都係考慮左好耐架...
亦係o係 G5 , V1,5400 入面作出選擇.
我現在用緊sony p係,發覺d noise真係幾嚴重!
而亦睇了很多research話nikon d noise係最少...

我都好想知道 nikon 5400 仲有冇咩唔好既地方呢??
係咪真係好似別人話的那樣 user un-friendly ??

但無wide可以加wide鏡補救

一係揀G5, 一係揀番CP5000 !!
cp5400 用番細CCD....而且話就話4x, 其實係28-115mm, 115mm同其他3x的機一樣, 都係唔夠. 用番CP5000有大CCD好過...

而G5...35-140mm , 加原廠廣角0.7x有24.5mm! 加上大光圈而且黑色外形比起G3靚左好多啦. G5 都可以考慮o架.

My selection 5700, as the ccd of 5400 is smaller, and the the speed of AF is not big difference to 5700

唔該睇下dpreview.com個祥細報告,G5係三部機入面最多noise既一部，最好反而係呢度最多人反嘅Sony v1....Cp5400雖然用細ccd,但色散控制同noise控制都明顯比G5好，G5除咗光圈大d之外，完全俾人擊倒....但係人哋細部d又有28mm lens wo...

V1 is not bad though, but Enzo hing's info. maybe wrong, V1 should not have 28mm coverage for its built-in lens.

personally i have found V1's colour rendition a bit too 'fresh' to a point which exceeding the reality.

other than that, if just comparing my CP5000 and G5, i still found G5's resolution is higher which let you see more minute details.

so, if i am in the market to buy any of these three, i will still get the CP5000 or CP5400 for the built-in wide coverage or G5 for its sheer resolution and more natural colour reproduction.

understood G5 can add wide converter to make it even wider, but i personally don't prefer, 1, price for a decent quality wide converter is quite dear, 2. it make it a lot more bulker, if upto that point i won't mind bring my SLR instead.

i have a friend living in the states, and he use coolpix 885 and bought a cheap wide converter, the pictures are very low contrast and very very distorted, even worse than my other friend using CP5000 plus original 19mm wide converter.

and one of the beauty of digital photography is you can change the ISO on the fly, though not perfect, but its very easy to compensate the one stop light loss by pumping up the ISO one notch.

so i will weight the coolpix's 28mm as a more important factor than having one stop brighter lens lor.

i am just telling my experience, no prejudice, but really don't like V1 for its super-natural colour.

at the end of the day, only the potential buyer know what he / she would want and need, so i am just throwing in some of my opinion jar.
