1) photo quality in 4R, from a beginner of view
2) how long can the battery lasted.
The Japan price is dropped to Yen37,000 = HK$2,000. Is it worth?

Today yen exchg ratee US$1 = yen 117-8 = approx 0.66 x 37, 000 = HK$2,442.
I went though the comment of this DC is not bad.....If it's ticketed for only HK$2,000 I will jump to get one. As I'm fans of Leica lens and anti-sony people so pro Panasonic.....

yes, your yen exchange rate is right but I also calculate the rebate (not actual off from price but will give you points to buy things, 1 points = 1 yen). This system is widely used in Japan electronics stores in "Chi Toi" in Tokyo.
In this case, the list price is Yen37,000 with 7,400 points, good for another 128M SD.
