It is easy.
1) If you have Nero burning software, there is an option you can choose to burn the CD as VCD.

2) Another is a very primitive way to do is just burn your photos in a format like jpeg (as copy files onto the CD). Your DVD player should be able to play your photos by showing a list of photos on your TV.

I have these questions too. I have notebook but with CD R only, no CD Writer.... so how to save all photos into a CD and deliver to prinit shop to print. An external notebook CD writer seems too expensive, over $1000 so what can I do? Any advice, thanks.

Sorry, I missed the word you have no computer.

First, why don't you just hand in your memory card to the print shop and ask them to burn it onto a CD ? May be an extra cost is needed !!

Once you have that CD, you have play them by your DVD player.

For vinyu-dc, I think the CD-Rewriter is very cheaper today, less than $800 dollars for 32x read, 8x write, 4x rewrite I bought 2 years ago. If you can afford a notebook computer, I am sure you are financially OK to buy a CD Rewriter.

I think 99% of the DVD player are able to play the jpeg files on CD.
I have burnt my photos onto the CD, just burn the photos as normal files , no special procedures. (unless you want to burn it as VCD)
Insert the CD into the DVD player, the player will display a list of files on TV and you can select the photo to view.

You can use WinOnCD and put your favourite photos onto a VCD.

Do you have Nero CD burning software ?

The following URL shows you the way how to make VCD:

BUT the example is the file in MPG format, may not be your case.

To do the basic, burn your photos onto the CD, insert your CD into DVD player, a list of photos are showing and you can play them sequentially by pressing selecting the first photo you want to view, and then press the next button to view the next and so on..

If you want to play the photos as slide show one after one automatically after you select the first photo, I will make a try in my home machine and let you know then.
