... Today the Japanese manufacturer officially announced the new OM-D EM-10 Mark II, the new entry level model of its high-end mirorless camera category with interchangeable lens. The unit features a subtly updated design that keeps the same vintage style, a new 2,360K dots OLED EVF with new touch capabilities on the swiveling 3-inch screen, a 16 Megapixel 4/3 MOS sensor and enhanced stabilization.

The OM-D EM-10 II is the new version of the entry level model of the OM-D series, for “entry level users” while the OM-D E-M1 (no version 2 for now) is the flagship for “professional photographers and high amateur users” as Olympus puts it. The OMD-EM-5 II is the mid-range camera in the lineup.

The new mirorless camera will be available globally in September in black and silver, body only for $699.99 in the U.S. and for $899.99 with a 14-42 mm EZ lens...
