hi all,

im switching completely to nikon system and decided to get a bit more serious on photography

i have a few choices in mind with my money

#1: New D300 + 17-55 + 80-200 AFD + SB600

#2: New D300 + 18-70 F3.5 DX + 70-200 AFS VR + SB800

#3: Used D200 + 17-55 + 70-200 AFS VR + SB600

yep.. after much research, i find these are quite piratical combination...

Experienced photographers and nikon users, pls share ur opinions... personally im more inclined to #2.. but i also know that the 17-55 is a great lens other than its price.

and, 17-55 VS 18-70DX? with a US$1K difference...

im going general photography, no specific purpose like wedding or sports.

there there might be better choices/combinations, do tell me

all recommendations appreciated.

If you can afford a D300, there is no point to get a 2nd handed D200.

The difference between the two is just too big.
