Issue related to the display of JPG files on LCD TV Post time: 1 月 21 日 |
|
|
Hello chings,
In the olden days when I copied my photos (JPG files) from my DC to my USB drive, and I plugged the USB drive to my Sony LCD TV (bought in 2006), I can see those photos.
But now when I copied my photos from my 500D to my USB drive, and I plugged the USB drive to my Sony LCD TV, I CANNOT see those photos (but can detect those JPG files and show their file names).
Any idea what's go wrong? I guess it is size-related problem. If this is the case, anything I can do?
THANKS

For those JPG files from my old DC, it can show the file name and the resolution (ie, 2xxx x 1xxx).
For 500D JPGs, just show file name. The resolution shows blank. Probably you are right, resolution is too big. So what can I do? I just checked in Sony website, there is nothing to download for my Sony TV model.
THANKS

I guess you would have to resize your photos in order to be displayed on the TV. Cos even for HDTV, they're talking about 1920 x xxxx pixels. Likely they can't support too much compression.

Hi Snoopybee,
Thanks for your advice. What software do you usually use to resize photos?

Thanks guys .... I can see my photos on my TV now.
叮噹仔 - I don't have photo manager with my MS Office (mine is Win XP version of MS Office). There is one called photo gallery, they are different software, right?

ACanonGuy,
I always thought DPP is for RAW images only hence I have never tried this application. All my photos are stored in JPG format.
OK, I will try tonite to see whether it can change resolution for JPG.
THANKS

Another similar question. This time related to the movie files shot by the 500D. They are in MOV format and cannot be seen in my Sony LCD TV & Sony DVD player. What can I do?
I know there is a software comes with Canon. But it is limited to converting the MOV files to AVI file. Again AVI files cannot be recognized by my Sony DVD player.
