Any CHing used to compared for mentioned lens? I am planing to replace my 18-105 kit lens with either one of above mentioned while get in another 70-300mm.

I do not think sigma 17-70 is better. Nikon 16-85 is sharp and fast.

If you just compare the photo quality, I think Nikon 16-85mm is better than Sigma 17-70mm.
But if you aso compare the price and the spec. Sigma 17~70mm is a good choice!
