Both are FX lens, it's a bit waste to use them on D300s, suggest you buy
AF-S DX 12-24mm f/4G IF-ED or
AF-S DX NIKKOR 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G ED

常識係DX機廣角端用DX鏡。

already hv 16 on nx200 which is wide enough for me
so considering a wide zoom on the 300s

The point is not whether 16mm is enough or not, it's just a taste of oneself. The point is you have to pay several times more, to carry a pound more all the day but using a special ultra-wide lens as an usual wide-normal zoom which is claerly not a satisfying zoom range. What' the point of donig that? It's simply not a wise act.

C-hing, as you are using a NX200 previously, I'm quite curious that do you know the size and the weight of a 16-35VR or 17-35 f/2.8? I will not doubt about money as HKese always claim they are very wealthy about e-prouduts. I only doubt about the fexbility. For Nikon, there is a 16-85VR DX lens.
