You don't HAVE TO go "up to FF". You just have to work out what you want and what you NEED.
See the very nice photos of "missgeok" in Flickr, she mainly uses a D90, and she produces some really really nice artful images.
With a D3200, a 18 - 300 will be very handy when travelling, just add a 50 1.8 if you wish.
Yes, a D700, D800, D4 etc is very advanced and capable. Nevertheless, you can go up, but you don't have to. I based my decision to go to D700 because when I was buying more lenses, I wanted to buy the better lenses in the range.
BTW, good time to go to the Japanese Garden in Auburn for spring blossoms, some cherry blossoms too, I heard. It is a beautiful spring day here today

我原來也打算買D3200+18-300但發覺畫質不如18-200。 三支天涯鏡最好畫質竟然是18-105那支套裝鏡。
後來發現我的 Minolta AF4-4.5/ 28-135 畫質比Zeiss 2.8/24-70mm還好！
The Zeiss is now good in the corners as well - but even at f11 it still isn't as good as the Minolta AF 28-135mm at f4.
Why didn't the Zeiss people look at the Minolta before starting their work ...?
為此我開始考慮是買A850或A900？ 還是等A99以便可以用回這支鏡頭。
因為我的另外選擇只是D600+24-85或7DII+24-105而已。
