I am using D90 and Nikon 18-200VR..today....i went out to take photos in the park alone.....suddenly, several photographers also took photos next to me............i found they were using D700.....5DMKII....and some expensive lens such 24-70......LB5....SSW......Carl Zeiss...etc.....
then.....they always said to their friends D700 and 5DMKII were totally powerful than some "cheap cameras"(<-----they really said "cheap"!!!!) such as D60,D90,D300,450D500D50D.....etc.....!!!
@!#$~~although i was very angry..., i just ignored them and kept on taking photos alone!!!!
Yep.....i understand......higher level equipment can help you easily take excellent photos..and they will hv better quality.......yep...u are rich..then u can pay for them......but it doesnt mean u respect them....it doesnt mean u respect the photography equipment~~~
i am not pointing someone who is using higher level equipment, but i just hate someone who doesnt respect others and look down on others~~!!!!
Anyway.....today i was very angry.......but enjoyable on taking photos with my D90 and Nikon 18-200VR~~~

ivanivan05, enjoy photography, not equipment!

one thing for sure 5DMKII is not as powerful as 50D in terms of focusing speed & response. 50D wins 5D mark 2 a lot!
(I have both these cameras & Nikon D200+D40X)

No need to consider them, just concentrate on photography, e.g. composition etc.

People like to show off, especially HK ppl. Senses and timing is much important than equipment. No need to mad w/ those "rich men" who just know bull shitting. Enjoy taking photo..

You know what, once I went to a shop to check out some new cameras. I was holding a d5000 and was playing the monitor (I was not going to buy it, I just wanna check it out the rotatable monitor).

And then, there is a guy standing beside me, holding a d700 and looks very arrogant, smiling at the d5000 I was holding. I was thinking, did you ever look at my the WATCH I am wearing? My watch is enough to buy 7.5 d700...... I am not going to show off how expensive my watch is (maybe he never understands the value of my watch). But I just want to say that. Even I am holding a "cheap" camera on my hands, it doesn't mean I am "poorer" than a guy who is holding a more expensive camera.

Listen, everyone. Photography is one of the LEAST luxury hobbies among many. Watches, cars, yachts, wines, cigars, paintings, jewelry, houses, airjets......there are so many things which are much more expensive than cameras.

In some real rich men's eyes. A guy holding D3X or 1DMarkIII is just "nothing".

There are too many shitty people in HK who have very little self-confidence and have to show off their very limited wealth....

佢地講得無錯, D90 的確係比D700, 5D MK II "CHEAP"
價錢D90真係"CHEAP"過佢D700同5D MK II架, 佢地只是講出了事實,
功能上係某D地方的確D90又唔及佢地, 佢地俾出咁多錢買機, 咁應該俾你買部D90多DD野係正常。
但唔代表D90影出來既相會差過用其他機。

sometimes, i think someone is just proud of their equipment(cameras. lens....) which can let them show off make them admired by others..,but not proud of their skills or passion of photography..
yes..i agree....if i hv money....i will also pay more for better quality camera or lens......but..pls dont look down on others...~~~
they are so ignorant...even D700 and 5DMKII are not the top model~~~if they want to show off....they should buy Hasselblad instead of Nikon Canon.....or others....~~~
