1. You need to have split focusing screen, because DSLR don't install it inside.
2. You need to based on your experience to select Shutter and Aparture, I usually consider Shutter first.
3. DSLR is much better than film, you can try an error until you got good picture.
4. Manual mode is very slow to response to moving object
5. Manual mode is good at focusing glass or tiny object that AF/AE can't work out
6. Manual mode also apply to night shot, but remember to use time delay, otherwise, it will shake your body when pushing shutter
