I used film camera previously and had Nikon Lenses: AF 20-35/2.8, AFS 28-70/2.8, AFS 80-200/2.8. My wife is going to deliver a baby and I want to buy a camera. I cannot decide which camera to choose, please help:

1) whether buy a DSLR body or a 傻瓜camera ?

If I am going to buy a DSLR body, which one to choose
1) D90 or D5000 ? (would not consider D3000 because pixel only 10Mega) and not want to spend over 10K for D300s or D700

2) D5000 cannot "push" AF20-35 because body no motor inside.
3) D90 function similar to D5000 except with motor. Equally no autofocus function on movie recording. And D 90 around 9K and D5000 only 5k

I recommend D90.
D90 cost for 6k-7k for body, I don't think u need to by the kit.
If u went to take picture for ur baby, u may need 35.8 or 50.8 lens.
Just try ur lens on hand if they work or not.

Hey man, I started with film camera like yourself. Been using D70s for years and just upgraded to D700. I also got 28-70 and 80-200 2.8.

Since youare from film, you would want to move to FF as times goes by. Don't get anything under D300 and if budget permits, go straight for D700 and you will love it. No regrets at all. Esp for kids, you cant use flash, D700's ISO is marvellous.

D5000 would not work for kids, focusing is too slow. D90, if this is your budget then this is your only option.

D90既操控唔係D5000可以俾到的!
除左個扭MON外, D90有D野係D5000無既.
唔係用落唔會知道的。
用得樓上幾支鏡應該對攝影有一定認識,
無理由買返轉頭!
