小弟現在用D60，配tamron A16 +tamron A17 + n 50mm/1.8d。
因此由50mm - 70mm出現一個缺口，小弟現想購入一支鏡取代支A16 ，兼且填補呢個缺口，小弟有約$5000預算，小弟對 N16-85最有興趣，請問各位師兄有咩意見，或者有D咩好鏡介紹呢？

50-70mm 呢個"缺口"其實同落唔會有咩問題。
如果有閒錢，建議升級或添置新器材比較好。

如果我有5000，我會TRADE OUT A16，再入支2手N17-55/2.8，咁就真係好明顯的提升啦.......

我都想升級新器材,現正等待D300/D300s轉大款....

而小弟亦會TRADE OUT A16 , 但就希望能使用口徑67mm的鏡頭 , 因小弟有好幾個濾鏡係67mm ( 如 I R , CPL , UV , 同柔焦等 , 全都是 FOR A16的...) , 所以先諗 N16-85....

Don't let the filter stop you from other lens, and better try/test it before the move.

I am not sure about A16, but after using 17-55 2.8 for a while, now I found my 18-200VR PQ is quite poor.

Trading A16 to 16-85 may get the range, but PQ may not improve. Missing 50-70mm is not that important. Just get closer with the A16 or step back with the A17.

Agree that missing 50-70 is not a big deal.

As we using the prime lens, we have our feet to adjust the distance. By 50-70 is not a big gap. Just step in or back will work.

But I see your problem is - you are using A17 as your long distance lens. I always think that Anti-shake is a very important function on long distance lens. I think it is better to trade the A17 & keep the A16 instead.

If you sell the A17, I believe you will have enough budget to buy Nikon 70-300 VR. If you think that is still too expensive. Then Nikon DX 55-200 VR or the new Sigma 70-300 DG OS (no testing photos on this lens yet) may fit your need.

If you really like to have N16-85, then given up the A16 will be a better choice. However, I don't think there will be a very advance improvement on the quality of your lenses group ...

N16-85(smaller aperture zoom lens) + A17 (No anti-shake function) + n 50mm/1.8d(prefect back-up lens)

My idea (although not covering the 50-70):
A16 (good PQ 2.8 aperture zoom lens) + VR/OS long range lens (anti-shake function help a lot) + n 50mm/1.8d(prefect back-up lens)

agree with "ed_ca", really strange to consider the filteras the most important point. After using N17-55/2.8, I really love its outstanding quality, no regards to update this lens. Futhermore, do u have a flash? buy SB900 is also a good choice.~

A16 is a good lens anyway, really no point to fill this gap. You can always walk a step or change your position to compensate this. In my opinion, it is quite nonsense to do so.

退後幾步巳可解決，何須揾藉買鏡！我都有好多缺口，
但相照影，無問題噃！

50-70mm經常發現不夠用?
dx鏡盡可能用fx代替,攝影有很長的路要走,16-85不要買.
