Hi, I am planning to Seoul for ski during Christmas. Please advise some important tips to note when taking ski photos for kids. I use D700 with lens 50 1.4, 85 1.4, 24-70 2.8, 14-24 2.8, 70-300. Please also advise what gears should I take along with?

Assuming you're a good skier already to carry such a bulky eqpt. If you're not skiing and just watching them, you'd better take 70-300 for better zoom. If you plan to ski along with them, I would suggest 14-24 for a bigger angle, because you're using D700 and you may always have the chance to crop afterwards.
In any case, you gotta keep your gears inside your parka while not taking photos to keep them warm for better operation when you need them.
Last but not least, white background always fools the camera to result in an overexposed picture. Try lowering the EV settings by trial and error, or use spot metering for a correct exposure of the subject.
Have fun.
