I am interested in buying N24-70. But when I read this report http://review.fengniao.com/124/1249443.html, it seems that S24-70 is not bad as well. I would like to ask C Hings, what are there differences actually? Which one worth buying? Thanks for your advice in advance.

s2470 u paid around 60% price of N2470

but then u get 90% performance of N2470

u can think think this aspect

as i know, they r both very good in terms of sharpness,
but certainly, the bokeh of Nikon is better and smoother than Sigma,
and their color tone is quite different.
so u need to figure out your real preference b4 really buying the lens.

anyway, i think the Sigma is really a good deal!

Thanks for C Hings' advice.
Since I have S24-70, I would like to ask is it an upgrade for S24-70 HSM to N2470? Or is it just paying more for almost no difference? Is it more worthy to spend the money on other lens than buying N24-70 for S24-70 replacement?

I had read lots of comparsion betwen this 2 lens. And i was using S24-70 non hsm, now changed to N28-70. Although we are talking about different lens here.. (s24-70 hsm are much better then s24-70 non-hsm. And N28-70 are old model of 24-70) I was thinking to upgrade to n24-70 instead of n28-70, but at the end i brought a 28-70. My point of view like following.

1, S24-70 able to reach 90% performance of N24-70. But you paid only around 40% price from N24-70. (Sigma new 6k? 2nd hand 5k+, Nikon 12k+ 2nd hand, 14k new)
2, I cant afford N24-70 or i should say i dont want to afford it. It is way over price (personal opinion only). So i was comparing N28-70, S24-70 hsm (Nikon 2nd hand $8k+, Sigma 2nd hand 5k+) At the end i pick Nikon 28-70, not because "factory" or "third party" lens issue, is because i like the feeling from the photo of N28-70. And i think which is the most important thing you should conern here.
Sorry for all the off topic opinion, but all i wanted to say here is, different people have their different favour, bokeh good or not is just depends feeling jeh. But if you still like N24-70 and you happy to pay for this price, why not?
