nikon同canon從來無免費送記者相機！但佢地會畀記者試用一啲未正式推出嘅相機，問吓意見！不過其實都只不過係希望佢地將來會買！如果有興趣買，通常都會畀一個特別優惠價！

直到依家，喺香港傳媒來講n同c使用比例大概係40%：60%. c記仲係多少少！

This is partially true. Nikon Professional Service (NPS) they do ask professional to 試用一啲相機，問吓意見！ Used to be a big discount to buy camera for NPS member. But right now the discount is no longer existing anymore.

they do have special offer to photojournalists from time to time. even now. and i remembered when nikon first launched their d3. they had offered publications and photo agencies their new camera at a super low price. that's understandable! coz at that time, they were so eager to increase their marketshare! and that's something nikon'd lost to canon more than a decade.

Do you know how much they are offering for? From what I known Nikon didn't do that for a long time already. At least not happening in the last 2 years already.

And do you know this information is coming from what channel?

you are quite correct! i would say they don't have any special offer given to pros since they have launched d3 few years ago. but if u are nps member. u can order cameras equipment through the publication that u work for. then you can get those stuff at a price a bit lower than the street price.

canon offered a limited numbers of 1dmk3 to photojournalists in a trade-in programme last year! we could have had a mk3 by trading-in any eos dslr with additional $17xxx hkd (if i remember correctly.)

I am a NPS in Australia. But never got such an offer!!!! I am jealous now.

I should try to get myself to register with NPS in HK >.<

i guess it's less meaningful to us. i don't know if u are from the press or working for any publication in aus. for me, i haven't spend a penny on my workhorse equipment for like15 years. all my photographic equipment are from the company that i work for!

I am from the wedding field ... It could be difference as well.

Anyway, thanks for the info and I gonna ask the guys from NPS in PMA in around two weeks time.

Need that benefit in Australia as well.
