I purchased my D700 not long along with a new 24mm-70mm lens. It's low light ability is awesome, but the sharpness of the color, I could say, it's just similar or sometimes worse than what a regular digital camera can do. A friend of mine uses D90 with 50mm 1.8 but the color is EXTREMELY sharp.

What is the problem with my camera? Are any others having this same problem? Are there some adjustments in the camera settings to address this?

It only happened in low light conditions? I also have D700 & 24-70 and feel that it is not an extremely good lens....(depending on your expectation)...

What ISO and other settings you used?

Color is similar to any kit lens but acceptable if added +0.5ev.
That's why Nikon give you Nikon Capture.
