Price based on demand.

If you believe no one wants your kit lens here, neither would dealers want to buy the lens from you. Even if they want to buy the lens from you, they will offer a very cheap price.

E.g. If you are selling a lens worth $800 when new, maybe you can sell it here for $300. If the dealer believe they can sell it for $400 at their store, they won't give you more than $200.

For these lens, I'd rather keep it or just give/sell it to friends. Unless the few hundred bucks worth a lot to you.
