If you can tell us what you wanna use that flash for, we might give you more information.

Just for your quick reference.

If you are using off camera flash (remote flash):
- SB600 only work as a slave
- SB900 work as master and slave

Say if you are only need a flash for on camera fill flash and don't need to use a few flashes to composite your photos, SB600 is pretty good.
