Please see the attached link and I have posted some comment about how to take photos in snow. I have also provided sample photos as well.

The point about extra battery and +EV is true. Also you need to do more "after care" each night when you get back to the hotel.

You should leave the camera in the bag and open all pocket in the hotel. So it let the camera get back to normal temperature and get away from condensation.
