AI頭是以前Nikkor未有自動對焦鏡頭年代的產品，比手勳對焦相機用。接環跟現在的Nikkor鏡一樣，可以裝在現今的Nikon相機上，但就沒有自動對焦，測光方面則視乎即一機種型號，部分相機可能連測光都唔支援。

To use AI lens, you must
1. Have split image focusing screen
2. Light meter if your body don't have it.

Many AI lens still perform very well now a day. I keep using my dad 35mm f/2.0 which can still get very sharp picture.

No need split image focusing screen in D90,D7000 and some model that got a light to show you the correct focus.

I have 16mm f2.8 AIS and 50mm f1.2 AI on my D7000 with outstanding performance.
