Lesser dark corner is simply because DX lens does not need to reach the edge of the lens and that's also why its cheaper and surely DX and FF has their own advantages.

But if you have already got a D300 on hand, what makes you switch to another one and change your mind if you belive D300 is such a good machine originally?

I think this guy was trying to refer to the fact of less vignetting in the APS-C System. Since the shape of camera sensors in DSLR are all rectangular in comparison of the circular shape of the lens barrel, lights collected at the centre of sensors are inevitably more than at the edge. Due to the smaller sized sensors adopted in the APS-C System, these sensors are therefore less vulnerable to vignetting than those Full-Format sensors because the distance from the centre to the edge are shorter.

Again, I think this guy was trying to refer to the phenomenon of Crop Factor in the APS-C System. People are always refering to the 1.5x
multiplier in the Nikon APS-C System. It is because the APS-C sensors only capture the centre portion of the information projected by the traditional 35mm lens resulting "cropped field of view". The multiplier equals to the diagonal of 35mm film (i.e., 43.3mm) divided by the diagonal of the APS-C Sensors. For example, a traditional 200mm lens used on APS-C Sensor camera will not make it into a 300mm lens (200mm X 1.5). It is just the information at the rectangular edge of the APS-C sensors have been cropped out and makes the 200mm lens has 300mm lens field of view. The image would not be "pulled" closer in the APS-C System than in the Full-Format case. That is, the telescopic ability of a 200mm lens will not be amplified by 1.5x on the APS-C System and the depth of view will neither be changed. It is just the change in the field of view in the APS-C System that makes the difference.

Second point, not agreed. Pixel resolution is not the same. Just like D700, when used as DX film, it's only 600M, not like D300 as 12M. Don't say increase the resolution of FF camera to increase DX resolution. To compare, it should use the same resolution to compare. Otherwise, advantage of wide angle of FF can also be compsenated by 後期制作.

Nothing was mentioned about the camera resolution above. No body mention anything about the "increase of resolution of FF camera to increase DX resolution"??? In fact, if it is already a "FF camera", how the hack does it become a "DX" by "increasing the resolution"??? Why such is needed to downsize from FF to DX while to "increase the resolution"??? The compability of DX format on D700 is to allow the application of Nikkor DX lens on FX DSLR. As I have elaborated above, only the centre portion of the Full-Format sensor receive image information if DX lens are used due to the Crop Factor in APS-C System, the "left-out" portion of the Full-Format sensor that are not receiving the image information explains why the resolution of D700 lowered from 12M to 7M when DX format is used. It is simply because the "left-out" pixels are not using! It is not fair to directly compare APS-C sized sensors to Full-Format sensors since the size of each pixel on FF sensors are definitely larger than those of APS-C sized if the resolution of both sensors are the same. The "wide angle of FF" is the result of the multiplier effect (1.5x) of the field of view on APS-C System. Since the field of view is multiplied, a wide angle 35mm lens would not have the same field of view as in the Full-Format.
