Hi folks,

I have a chance to visit a fashion show and would like to gather the technique and concerns if possible.

It would not be a big one but I need some advice.

Some questions:
- Is ambient light good enough?
- Will the lighting change? If so, what white balance mode will you use?
- Are you interested in shooting models or clothes?
- Is there any disturbing background along models' catwalk path?
- Where should the focus point be? Will white or black dress affect camera metering?

My main target is the cloth.

The show is a small scale one and I think that would be a lot of disturbance.

Currently, this would be the equipment which I have now
- Canon 5D
- 70-200mm 2.8L IS
- 28-70mm 2.8L
- Canon extension x2
- 550EX
- Photo is taken in RAW mode
- Should l focus on the face although I would like to take the photo on cloth (because the eye of model would become blur...)

During catwalk, I think my flash is not strong enough (that means I could not use any external light source) and I would like to set the ISO between 400 - 1600 (not preferred)

Should I place the flash on the top of camera ? or place it beside the camera?

If in case, flash could be used, should I use the whte reflector?

Sorry for so many questions because I have little experience on this case.

如果有足夠照明﹐唔落閃都可以﹐但快門要最少留有 1/125 。
你可以用高o的 iso﹐盡量吸多o的現場光﹐咁樣閃燈只需要 fill 少少就夠﹐亦可以避免只靠閃燈照明。
除非好近啦﹐唔係o既﹐反光板同柔光罩只會浪費閃燈輸出。

對焦落個人就可以。
一來﹐你要o的係衫唔係樣。
二來﹐有番咁上下距離﹐面同個身o既距離可以話係好近﹐唔會 blur 得太多。再者﹐你得全身o黎﹐個頭又有幾大﹖

Show off? i really really don't understand why u ask such question? the best gear for the show, u already have. i don't think u are a beginner at all.
