Don't use AUTO white balance mode at D70, this is the source of making photo sometime blue, sometime red.....
To get accurate white balance / color tune from D70 :
1) shoot raw and adjust by Nikon capture (most people suggest)
2) use manual white balance and re-set each time (very trouble)
3) select the photo you think are right color at different light source and load back to CFcard, the manual white balance mode can use these photo (shot by D70 before) as white balance reference. Can create different name directory at CF card and just put few ideal photos for white balance use, then it will not mix up with other photo. (I use this method)
4) use the default white balance mode, remember different K # at different white balance mode, and fine tune from +3 to -3. The most useful white balance mode is Flash and Cloudy, they cover the range from 4800 K to 6600 K which can fit most time at outdoor. (I use this method too)
