I am new to DSLR and also bought a Nikon D300 about a month ago. I bought the following lens right now:

AF-S VR18-200mm F/3.5-5.6G ED DX
AF Fisheye 10.5mm 1:2.8G ED DX
AF Micro Nikkor 60mm 1:2.8D
Sigma DC 18-50mm 1:2.8 EX Macro HSM
Sigma APO DG 70-300mm 1:4.5-5.6

I just bought the two Sigma lens today. So, I am not sure whether they are good or not.

For the AF-S VR 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6G ED DX, I think that this is a MUST. I mount this len on the body all the time.

The fisheye is good to buy for special effect. It is really funny len but the price is a little bit high.

For the AF Micro Nikkor 60mm 1:2.8D, it is good for taking close up especially on flower. The color, sharpness and playing depth field are very good.
