我用M,TV,較快門,一開閃光燈,快門只可以去到1/200,如果唔用閃光燈的話,可以去到1/4000.我想問咁樣係咪正常呀?
我係用CANON 450D.

a simple explanation is, a flash also needs time to reach the top, faster than 1/200 will cut the light, b4 it was only 1/60-1/125, ok?

the brust need only about 1/1000 in case of full power, it is a nonsense to say that the machine lock shutter for this.
for better communication, I would use Chinese.

sb-800 full power 需要 1/1050s﹐1/200s 曝光足夠有餘。
部份影樓燈慢o的﹐1/200 左右。
1/60 可能係好舊o既燈。
不過點都好﹐根本唔關事。

呢個係焦平快門先天問題﹐唔關閃燈輸出時間事。
dc 同傳統鏡間快門o既機唔會有呢個問題(當然都要考慮輸出時間)。
唔理開唔開閃﹐係 x-sync 速度以上﹐快門無一刻係全開﹐曝光係靠隙縫掃過。
咁o既情況用閃就有問題﹐因為閃燈太快﹐唔會成程都發光﹐o的相會一o的有光一o的無。
所以相機會硬性限制﹐唔俾你係快過 x-sync 下用閃燈。

呢個問題可以用 high speed flash / focal plane flash 解決﹐原理就係用頻閃﹐令快門隙縫每個掃過o既地方都有閃光。

Thanks micros you are perfectly right,
yes, the problem is the shutter gate, sorry, i didn't mention, i was wrong , i should say when the whole camera ready needs time, actually i did use some camera can set 1/500.

actually 1/60 is for "cloth gate" shutter
1/125 is for "metal gate" like pantex K2, nikon F series.....
so if using a camera without gate, can go even faster, like 4x5.....
