This is because of the close proximity of the on-camera flash. If possible, use an off camera flash positioned further away from the lens. Use a "flash bracket" or try "bounce flash" - flash towards the white ceiling.
OR
Simply move your subject away from the wall. - This will certainly put the shadow low on the ground.
